Current Hospitals
Maroochy Private Hospital, QLD
Based on the Sunshine Coast, Maroochy Private Hospital is a partnership project with five high-volume surgeons in the specialities of orthopaedics, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, plastic surgery and maxillo-facial surgery.
Accommodated in an integrated medical specialist building, the hospital will provide a comprehensive patient experience. Co-tentants in the building include radiology, pathology, allied health services, the University of the Sunshine Coast, a prosthesis supplier, and medical specialists who will use the theatres.
The hospital has:
6 fully integrated large orthopaedic theatres
ward accommodation for 33 in-patient private rooms
The hospital will be opening in May 2026.

Eastwood Private Hospital, SA
Based in Adelaide, Eastwood Private Hospital is a modern purpose-built building to optimally manage the patient experience.
All the surgeons have taken up consulting suites in the building. The building has integrated radiology, pathology and allied health services.
The hospital has:
5 fully integrated large orthopaedic theatres and one endoscopy procedure room
ward accommodation for 51 in-patients
The DA process has begun and construction is expected to start in mid-2022, with completion towards the end of 2023.

Somerset Private Hospital, NSW
Somerset Private Hospital is an accredited multi-disciplinary hospital with four operating theatres and 12 overnight beds which offers a broad range of surgical services for patients. The hospital, located in Penrith, west of Sydney, opened in mid-2021. Specialties include plastics and reconstructive surgery, orthopaedics, gastroenterology, gynaecology, ENT and oral and maxillofacial.
Somerset Private Hospital was built in response to repeated demand for a new surgical environment in the Penrith area. Surgeons were increasingly needing to operate on patients out of the area and wanted a new surgical environment that was able to directly cater for their needs. In 2016 multiple sites were sold together and this led to an opportunity to construct a larger building and offer a broad range of cancer and surgical services under one roof. The building focuses on general and cancer surgery and this is supported with two radiotherapy bunkers, chemotherapy services comprehensive radiology, pathology and multiple specialist consulting suites. DPA Health has partnered with Cura Day Hospital to operate the Somerset Private Hospital on the first floor.

West Leederville Private Hospital, WA
West Leederville Private Hospital is an eight-bed, three-theatre hospital in Perth, which opened in 2016. The hospital provides secure accommodation for adults and children over the age of two years as day-stay patients and overnight adult patients. The facility is fully equipped for a range of cosmetic, reconstructive, skin cancer and hand/wrist trauma surgical procedures.
DPA Health was approached in 2014 to establish a surgical hospital for a group of plastic surgeons doing emergency hand surgery in the West Leederville area. A broad needs analysis and project feasibility study was conducted which led to an extensive property search. A possible location was found but the building was a Class 5 not Class 9a as required by the health department. Discussions and negotiations were held with the health department and a suitable plan was developed for the Class 5 building. Design, construction and licensing took place and the hospital opened for operation in 2016. The group of plastic surgeons had relocated from a large major hospital operator but found that the smaller environment was far more suitable for their needs. Turnaround times were faster, the flows were more efficient and the hospital was more flexible in being to cope with the challenges of unpredictable after hours hand surgery. The operational success led to financial success and the business was sold after three years of opening.

Orange Surgery Centre, NSW
Orange Surgery Centre is a specialist practice, providing a wide range of surgical services for adults and children. This boutique hospital is fully equipped for a wide range of surgical services including ophthalmology, general surgery, cosmetic surgery, endoscopy, urology and more.
Orange Surgery Centre was developed in 2001 in partnership with DPA Health in response from a select group of surgeons choosing to create an independent facility that they could contribute to and also benefit from the potential financial gains.

Subiaco Private Hospital, WA
Subiaco Private Hospital is an accredited multi-disciplinary hospital that provides two operating theatres to offer a broad range of surgical services for patients. The nine-bed hospital was opened in 2010 and has since built a well-deserved reputation for excellence in clinical care throughout the Perth community.
In 2009 DPA Health partnered with the Ear Science Institute of Australia and a group of ENT surgeons to develop an integrated and specialist ENT centre of excellence. The doctors were consulted extensively during the design, build and setup phase. Patient flows, equipment, financial considerations were all taken into account in the development. The building was purpose built to accommodate ENT research in the Clinical Wet Lab, prominent ENT surgeons, the Ear Science Institute of Australia and Subiaco Private Hospital to provide the in-house surgical services. The group of surgeons relocated from the larger private hospital and contributed to the specialist centre in Subiaco. After a successful period of independent operating the hospital was sold in 2016.

East Sydney Private Hospital, NSW
East Sydney Private Hospital is a 20-bed, five-theatre hospital which opened in 2014. This modern boutique private hospital located in Woolloomooloo, Sydney, is fully equipped for a range of surgical specialties including bone and spine, weight loss, eye surgery and plastic surgery.
DPA provided CEO and general management support during the early stages of the hospital operations. DPA also facilitated the investment of a large external health fund into the hospital which took the hospital into the next stage of its development.

Bathurst Private Hospital, NSW
Bathurst Private Hospital is a 23-bed, two-theatre hospital which opened in 2010. Bathurst Private Hospital is fully equipped for a range of surgical and specialist services for both adults and children including ophthalmology, orthopaedic, general surgery, gynaecology, dental and cosmetic surgery.
Bathurst Private Hospital was a brownfield redevelopment taken on by DPA Health in 2010 after the previous owner wanted to close the hospital down. The closure of the private hospital in Bathurst would have been a substantial blow for the town, the doctors and the community. DPA Health responded to the urgent need. A new 15 bed ward was built and the two theatres re-equipped. The hospital has continued to serve the community with the only private hospital in the area since 2010.

Eastern Heart Clinic, NSW
Eastern Heart Clinic is a private interventional cardiology hospital co-located with the Prince of Wales Hospital at Randwick in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. One of the largest interventional cardiology hospitals in New South Wales, the clinic has four cardiac catheter laboratories equipped with the latest technology and a spacious 19-bed recovery ward. It also offers a comfortable reception lounge for patients, relatives and carers. Jonathan held the role of Managing Director of the facility.

Sutherland Heart Clinic is a specialist interventional cardiology hospital co-located within the Sutherland Hospital at Caringbah, in Sydney’s southern suburbs.The clinic has two dedicated cardiac catheter laboratories equipped with the latest technology, and a spacious 10-bed recovery ward. It also offers a comfortable reception lounge for patients, relatives and carers. Jonathan held the role Managing Director of the facility.
Churchill Day Surgery, WA
Churchill Day Surgery is a one-theatre day surgery formed in 2011 as part of Perth Cosmetic Surgery Centre in Subiaco. Churchill Day Surgery is fully equipped for minor reconstructive procedures, and most cosmetic and plastic surgery that can be performed under local/twilight anesthesia and sedation. DPA was instrumental in setting up this facility, providing support for licencing, accreditation and ongoing general management.
Sight Foundation Theatre, NSW
Sight Foundation Theatre is a one-theatre day surgery clinic established in 2008, located in the grounds of the Sydney Eye Hospital in Sydney’s CBD. The theatre is fully equipped for a vast range of ophthalmic procedures including cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery, corneal surgery including transplants, oculoplastics and eyelid surgery, pterygium removal, tear duct surgery, and
pediatric procedures.
Sight Foundation Theatre is a not-for-profit with a mission to support the public hospital department. DPA was involved from inception with the negotiation with the Local Health District, the Department of Ophthalmology and obtaining the property approvals. The day surgery has been running successfully since 2008 and provides valuable resources for the public health system.

Harley Place Day Surgery, NSW
Harley Place Day Surgery in Bondi Junction is an ophthalmology practice that offers private same-day hospital service. This modern practice is fully equipped for a full range of oculoplastic procedures including eyelid procedures, orbital procedures, lacrimal procedures, and cosmetic procedures. DPA has provided support for this facility through licencing, accreditation and ongoing general management on a long-term basis.
